Sabina

Sabina HinchliffeBusiness woman and successful entrepreneur, Sabina graduated with a degree in English Literature and went on to work in a number of large central London organisations in the private and public sector including Edexcel (Pearson), M&G Investments (Prudential) and the National Audit Office. The experience she gained during this time greatly contributed to the lead up to her starting her own business ventures.

In 2012 she founded SabinaVA with the aim of providing professional support services for small businesses throughout the UK and Europe. This proved to be a resounding and thriving success. After building up a strong portfolio of clients she joined up with Sophie and together they launched PA Business Support Ltd which they feel has been a fantastic venture.

“We work closely with all our clients to provide them with first class business and administrative solutions. Each lady on our team not only has a high quality skill set but has been handpicked based on personality and style and how she will fit in to the client’s business. We are fortunate to be working with such a committed and professional team of women, many of them mums at home, and to have such progressive thinking clients who truly understand a virtual business”.

Sabina will also be the Chapter Director at the City lunch BNI in London www.bnicitylunch.co.uk. Starting in April 2016, Sabina was elected to be the Director of this successful business networking group to ensure their growth in membership and referred business for the next year.

In her spare time, Sabina enjoys spending time with her two daughters and her husband. She is an elected Governor at her local primary school and when she has any downtime enjoys reading and cooking Italian and Mauritian cuisine. Follow Sabina on Twitter.

Sophie

Co-founder and joint Managing Director

Sophie BurnettAward-winning entrepreneur Sophie Burnett began her virtual business journey in April 2010 as a sole-trader managing PA Business Support. Since then her background in Recruitment, Executive Office and Administration has helped to pave the way to grow a team of talented Virtual PAs and also to merge with her now business partner Sabina Hinchliffe. Together, in January 2015, they formed PA Business Support Ltd.

Throughout her career personal growth as a young businesswoman has always been a focus for Sophie and in October 2013 this was further realised when she was chosen to become a non-executive board director for STANTA (St Albans Enterprise Agency). Her dedication and drive was rewarded less than a year later when in June 2014 she was named Hertfordshire’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Federation of Small Business Awards.

Sophie firmly believes that ensuring that a Virtual Assistant has the appropriate talent for the client’s needs is just one part of the equation. Jo - Virtual AssistantJo graduated from Northumbria University in Business and Secretarial Administration and worked in London as a PA before moving into Human Resource Management. This led her to specialise in the areas of Training and Development and also Event Management, working in Management Consultancy, Financial Services and the Pharmaceutical sectors. Jo is meticulous when it comes to detail and enjoys nothing more than working closely with clients to help them feel more organised. In her spare time she enjoys running, Zumba, reading and relaxing with family and friends.

Amanda

Executive Assistant

Amanda - Virtual AssistantWith a Level 3 Diploma in Human Resources and HR administrative support, Amanda also has over 20 years secretarial and Executive Assistant experience. Her areas of expertise are in Banking, Law, Education and Human Resources. She has worked for a number of large City institutions including Baring Asset Management, Allen & Overy and DLA Piper. She is highly organised and has a great ‘can do’ attitude. In her spare time Amanda enjoys reading and spending time with her two sons.

Mireille

French speaking Executive Assistant

mireilleMireille is our multi-lingual virtual assistant speaking fluent French and English. Mireille’s career started in France at the Faculté Catholique de Lyon where she studied at the ESTRI (Ecole Supérieure de Traduction et Relations Internationales). She moved to the UK 16 years ago and has worked in sectors as diverse as Pharmaceuticals, Private Equity firms and not-for-profit organisations, ranging in size from 15 to 5,000 employees. When not working as a virtual assistant Mireille enjoys the theatre, baking and gardening on her allotment.

Reena

Management Accountant

reena_cReena graduated from Aston University, Birmingham in Accounting for Management and spent her placement year working for the Ministry of Defence. In 2003 she moved to London where she worked for Credit Suisse as a Regional Controller. She was responsible for the analysis and control of costs across global operations and financial administrative tasks. She is CIMA qualified and became a virtual assistant in 2013. Reena is process driven and enjoys nothing more than working with a client ensuring they have the correct procedures in place to build their business. She has a passion for travel, organising and coordinating fundraisers and reading.

Amanda

amanda_hAmanda has over 10 years’ experience working as a professional executive assistant for a variety of different organisations. With a background in a number of sectors including retail, technology and healthcare, she is extremely versatile and as such her skills are transferable to any organisation. She is used to working to exacting standards for senior executives in high pressured environments. Amanda possesses exceptional people skills and has the ability to operate, liaise and build good relationships at all levels. When not focusing on her virtual assistant role she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and visiting local heritage sites.

Julie

julieJulie is our lead creative designer. She has over 15 years’ experience working with a number of very high end brands. She is passionate about design, and aims to communicate the client’s message as clearly and as effectively as possible. Her work is fresh, punchy and to the point. Julie has working experience in numerous programmes including, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Quark, Pagemaker, Publisher and Corel Draw. In her spare time she enjoys days out with her son and fiancé exploring and visiting new places.

Susie

Spanish speaking Executive Assistant

Susie is highly proactive and her skills and competencies derive from her extensive experience providing services to a FTSE Listed Board of Directors and working with people who demand the highest levels of quality, confidentiality, excellent judgment, initiative and foresight. A dynamic professional, Susie has experience in investor relations, project and diary management, corporate communications, internal communications, social media, annual report and accounts, event management and human resources. With strong interpersonal communication skills (she speaks fluent English and Spanish); she demonstrates in-depth analytical and strategic ability and proactively resolves problems. Susie is a mum of one and enjoys spending time with her young son Josh.

Reena

Management Accountant

reenaReena graduated in Mathematics and Economics from University College, London and in 2001 she joined Deutsche Bank on their graduate programme, completing her CIMA qualification three years later. After leaving the corporate world behind Reena decided to become virtual assistant at the end of 2013 and thoroughly enjoys her role working with a variety of clients. When Reena isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her two children and husband. More recently she has started pursuing her creative talent making birthday and celebration cakes.

Suzie

Suzie is an experienced corporate Executive Assistant and has worked in several sectors including finance, media and legal. She spent a year living and working in Australia as an EA in finance and health, and then relocated back to the UK. She applies her strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task and all round administration experience to support businesses and individuals on day-to-day business and projects. For the last couple of years she has used this strong background to work as a Virtual Personal Assistant. In her personal time, Suzie enjoys spending time with her young family, travelling and keeping fit.

CarliCarli has 14 years’ experience in office management, maintaining daily operations for companies in a range of industries, resulting in solid all-round skills for supporting any small to medium sized business with their workload and for growth. In addition, having worked as an Executive Assistant, Carli can also provide support to the people behind the business. Her strengths are organisation and streamlining processes and she prides herself on providing an excellent service, with a friendly and approachable manner. Carli balances work with looking after her two sons, and being involved with a very active governing body at a local school.

Behnaz graduated in 2009 with degree in Accounting and Finance from the London Metropolitan University. She went on to qualify as a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) in 2013. She has worked in numerous different industries before starting to work independently. Behnaz has a passion for helping businesses with their accounts and provides tailor-made services, particularly with SMEs and start-ups. Her specialisms include bookkeeping, management accounting and statutory accounts for companies as well as self-assessment tax returns for individuals. In her spare time she enjoys watching films, travelling and keeping fit.

Jenny has over 20 years’ experience in office management, PA support, sales and marketing positions. She has knowledge of working in a variety of different sectors, across the private and public sectors, having worked for Psion Computers, T-Mobile and Essex County Council. With a Level 3 Diploma in Digital Marketing, she also enjoys working with social media. She is a keen organiser, professional, tenacious and enjoys a challenge, which has included a sky dive and the London Marathon. She is married with one son and in her spare time she enjoys sailing & skiing.

Gill has 20 years administrative experience with many years in the Civil Service and 10 years working as an executive PA in various companies; working lastly for the Head of Treasury at a Japanese Bank. She is a self-motivated, professional individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure and get the job done. She has a positive attitude to life and is currently an active Parent Governor at her local school. In her spare time she enjoys dressmaking, working out and playing the flute and guitar.

Himayak joined the team in 2016 as our digital marketing intern. He is about to embark on his final year at Nottingham Trent University, studying Physics while specialising in Astrophysics.

Laurence joined our team in February 2017 and focuses on our blogging and content writing. He is currently in his second year at Queen Mary University, studying English Literature with a special interest in literary and linguistic theory.

“I have worked in both sales and customer service, but my long term goal is to make a living through writing and working closely with literature. Between studying I am trying to accumulate as much valuable experience as I can, which is how I came to be an intern with PA Business Support. When free, I enjoy cycling around London, travelling to new places, and all kinds of cooking. I also have a keen interest in languages and language history”.

“As a second year student I’m constantly looking for internships and opportunities that would help improve my job prospects for the future. Being part of this internship offers me a chance to do that whilst also allowing me to work in a creative field, acquiring new skills and knowledge along the way. I have a passionate interest in the creative arts including: Stand-up comedy, literature, screen writing and music. I hope to someday use what I learn during this process to better my chances of obtaining a career in writing.”
